Why Work for CPC?

Working for CPC means becoming part of a growing national business while remaining part of a friendly and supportive local team.

Our people are trusted to take responsibility for the communities they look after. Every role plays an important part in maintaining safe, welcoming and well-cared-for places for residents to call home.

When you join CPC, you can expect:

We want CPC to be somewhere people can build a career, not simply find their next job.

Real Opportunities to Progress

We are proud to promote and develop people from within the business.

Many members of our management team began their CPC careers working in frontline operational roles. Colleagues have progressed from mobile van operatives and caretakers into senior operative, supervisor and management positions.

A typical career journey could include:

Van Operative or Caretaker

Developing practical experience, building relationships with residents and property managers, and taking responsibility for maintaining high standards across a portfolio of sites.

Senior Operative or Team Leader

Supporting colleagues, helping to coordinate work and providing additional operational guidance across local sites.

Supervisor

Managing teams, monitoring standards, completing inspections and supporting the delivery of services throughout an area.

Regional or Operational Management

Leading larger teams, managing client relationships, overseeing performance and helping shape the future development of the business.

Progression is based on attitude, performance, reliability and a willingness to learn. When someone demonstrates the potential to take the next step, we want to help them achieve it.

Training and Development

You do not need to know everything on your first day.

Every new colleague receives an introduction to CPC, their role, our standards and the systems they will use. Further practical and role-specific training is then provided to help them perform their work safely and confidently.

Depending on your position, development opportunities may include:

  • Health and safety training
  • Equipment and machinery training
  • Grounds maintenance and horticultural development
  • Property and site inspection training
  • Fire safety and compliance qualifications
  • Repairs and technical skills
  • Customer service and communication
  • Supervisory and management development
  • Leadership training

As CPC expands its services, new opportunities continue to emerge for people who want to gain additional skills, take on more responsibility or move into specialist areas of the business.
